â Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you using the term âSenior Momentsâ?
A phrase often used to mock forgetfulness, âsenior momentâ has become a disrespectful, self-deprecating shorthand for aging. Weâre here to change that by redefining it as a moment that honors the wisdom, experience, and insight that only a life well lived can offer.
Iâm not a senior, can I still participate?
Yes. You donât have to be a senior to participate. If your story reflects how an older adult influenced your life, shaped your future, or inspired you â your voice belongs in this movement.
Younger participants are also encouraged to help older adults share their stories, ask meaningful questions, and build real connections across generations.
How do I share my video?
- Upload your video to YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo, or a similar platform
- Copy the share link and paste it into the submission form or email
- If the file is too large, make sure your link is set to âAnyone with the link can viewâ
- If youâre helping someone else, you can record and submit on their behalf

âš About the Movement
Senior Moments is a growing global movement inviting people of all ages to share stories that honor the wisdom and lived experience of older adults.
Why is Wisdom of Age tackling this problem?
Wisdom of Age was founded on the belief that no number should define a personâs value, limit their potential, or prevent them from remaining active, relevant, and engaged.
We work with individuals and organizations to:
- Educate communities about the impact and reality of ageism
- Promote intergenerational connection and empowerment
- Partner with civic and community leaders to expand inclusion and collaboration
